Common questions
The scanner shows no pins where I'm standing.
Lore is seeded city by city. Outside a chronicled city the AR viewfinder stays honest and shows nothing rather than guessing. Open the Map tab to browse every city already in Lore, and check back as new cities land.
Why does Lore need my camera and location?
The camera places nearby stories over the world around you, while your location determines what is nearby. Live scanning stays on your device. If you choose Identify with Google, Lore asks before sending one camera frame to Google Cloud Vision. Lore never runs facial recognition or sells camera, face, or location data.
What is Lore+?
Lore+ unlocks unlimited deep dives, curated walking tours, and audio narration. U.S. reference prices are $5.99 per month, $34.99 per year, or $99.99 for lifetime access. Eligible subscribers may see a 7-day introductory offer. Apple confirms the controlling price, availability, and eligibility in the App Store purchase sheet before payment.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings inside Lore and tap Restore purchases. Restores are tied to the Apple ID that made the original purchase.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings inside the iPhone app, or use your web profile, to delete your account and its data. Email support if either path is unavailable.
I found a place that's wrong or missing.
Email support with the place name, city, and the correction or source. Corrections to Lore's own place records are made by the team; the journal's Share with all travelers toggle publishes your note on a place, but it does not edit the place record.
